Moapa Valley · Overton, Logandale, Moapa & Glendale, NV
Clark County created the town of Moapa Valley on February 13, 1981, when Overton and Logandale voted to merge. It is 40 miles of farmland, red rock and small business strung along State Route 169, and it is the closest town to Nevada’s oldest state park. Eclipse Marketing ranks the businesses that serve it in Google Search, the Maps 3-pack and AI answers, and founder Michael Vale runs every account himself.
The short answer
Moapa Valley campaigns run from the same team as our Las Vegas SEO agency, but nothing about the plan is copied from the valley floor. A rural town of 6,277 people that hosts roughly a million park visitors a year needs its own keyword set, its own Business Profile setup and its own review strategy.

No work for the shop down Moapa Valley BlvdThe math that changes the plan
Most agencies price a Moapa Valley campaign off the population and decide the market is too small to bother with. That reads the wrong number. The town has 6,277 residents and has not grown since 2020, but Valley of Fire State Park pulls close to a million people a year past Overton and the Clark County Fair put 102,721 through Logandale in 5 days. The people who need a tow, a tire, a meal, a bed or an emergency plumber here mostly do not live here.
1,102,721Park visitors plus fair attendees, a year
6,277Residents of the whole town
175:1Visitors and fair attendees per resident, per year. Both totals are published figures; the ratio is our arithmetic, and it is the single most useful number for planning a campaign in this valley.
Certified at 6,277 on July 1, 2025 against 6,289 counted in the 2020 census. Clark County grew roughly 8% over the same 5 years. Population growth is not going to hand you new customers in Moapa Valley. Ranking is the only lever that adds volume.
Park officials put annual visitation near a million and said it has been climbing by as much as 15% a year. A $30 million visitor center opened in November 2025. Those visitors arrive with no local knowledge and search on a phone with 1 bar.
Clark County Fair and Rodeo attendance in 2025, down from 106,453 in 2024. The 2026 fair ran April 8 to 12 at the fairgrounds on Whipple Ave. One week moves a year’s worth of search volume for food, lodging, trailer repair and livestock supplies.

1 town, 4 communities
State Route 169 runs 18.6 miles from Interstate 15 down through Logandale and Overton to the Lake Mead boundary, and through Overton it is Moapa Valley Boulevard, the valley’s main street. A searcher in Logandale and one in Overton sit 5 miles apart and can be shown a different Maps 3-pack for the same words. Most competitors write 1 page for “Moapa Valley” and never name the 4 places people actually type.
3,214 residents and the valley’s commercial center. Moapa Valley Boulevard carries the grocery store, the pharmacy, the Lost City Museum and most of the trades, and Valley of Fire State Park’s official street address is an Overton one. If a search has commercial intent in this valley, it usually resolves here.
3,059 residents, and the event engine. The 190-acre Clark County Fairgrounds sits on Whipple Ave with a rodeo arena seating 4,500, and the Logandale Trails System opens 45,000 acres of BLM land to riders just east of town. Logandale searches skew toward livestock, trailers, RVs and visitor services.
1,067 residents certified in 2025, with roughly a third of them on the 71,954-acre Moapa River Indian Reservation. This is where the valley’s energy sits: the solar plants, the retired Reid Gardner site and its 220 MW battery, and the Moapa Paiute Travel Plaza at exit 75.
No ZIP code of its own and no separate town since 2001, when it was folded into Moapa Valley and later into Moapa. It still appears on signs, in street addresses and in searches, so leaving the name out of your copy costs you the handful of people a month who type it.
ZIP 89021 is a PO-Box-only delivery zone. There is no USPS street delivery in Logandale, so a Logandale business usually carries a PO box on its mail and a street address on its building. Google will not verify a Business Profile at a PO box. The profile has to use the physical street address with a service area drawn around it, and every citation has to match that address, not the box. Get this wrong and Google reads 2 businesses where there is 1, which is the fastest way to fall out of the 3-pack here.

Four in five homes here are owner-occupied against well under three in five countywide. These are repeat customers for roofing, HVAC, septic, wells and landscaping, and they ask their neighbors before they ask Google. Reviews that name Overton or Logandale carry more weight here than anywhere in the valley floor.
Larger households than the county average with higher income and lower poverty. That combination points to whole-home work rather than patch jobs, and to buyers who will read a page before they call rather than picking the first ad.
The mean one-way commute runs 53% longer than the county’s. People here already drive a long way for work, so they will not drive a long way for a service they could get locally. Being the local answer is worth more than being the cheap one.

Where searches start
Almost none of the demand in this valley starts at a house. It starts at a park gate, a fairground, a trailhead, a boat ramp or a freeway exit, and each one produces a different search with different urgency. Each place below gets its own page plan.
Nevada’s first state park, designated in 1935 and covering about 40,000 acres of Aztec sandstone. Its official address, 29450 Valley of Fire Rd, is an Overton one, and a $30 million visitor center opened in November 2025. Fire Wave, Seven Wonders Loop, Pastel Canyon and Pink Canyon close every year from May 15 to September 30 for heat, and the whole park closes December 1 to 14 for maintenance.
Who searchesVisitors looking for fuel, food, water, lodging, towing, tire repair, guides and photographers, almost all of it typed on a phone within 30 minutes of needing it
1301 W Whipple Ave, run by Clark County Parks and Recreation. A lighted rodeo arena seating 4,500, the Glen Hardy Livestock Pavilion, the Wayne Newton Animal Pavilion, a 40-acre sports complex and around 100 RV pedestals. The Clark County Fair and Rodeo ran April 8 to 12 in 2026, and the Pomegranate Arts and Crafts Festival takes the first weekend of November.
Who searchesExhibitors and visitors searching RV hookups, trailer and livestock supplies, farriers, catering, lodging and last-minute repairs, concentrated into a handful of weeks
More than 200 miles of trails across over 45,000 acres of BLM land, reached off SR 169 by turning on Liston Rd and crossing the railroad track. In February 2024 the BLM made recreation the primary use, designated the area a Special Recreation Management Area and moved OHV use from existing trails to designated trails. There is a 14-day stay limit.
Who searchesRiders searching OHV rentals, guided tours, side-by-side repair, tire and axle work, camping supplies and recovery, often from out of state and often on a weekend
The lake’s northernmost arm, and the one most reshaped by water levels. The National Park Service has kept the Overton Beach ramp closed since April 2009 and the Echo Bay marina docks closed since February 2015. The Echo Bay launch ramp is still open, closed to houseboats, and under construction through 2026 to chase the water down. Lake Mead read 1,037.80 feet at the end of September 2026.
Who searchesBoaters and anglers checking what is actually open before they tow 65 miles, plus the marine, RV and lodging businesses whose season moves with the ramp
1 Lincoln St on the Moapa River Indian Reservation, where the Valley of Fire Highway meets I-15. Fuel for cars and commercial trucks, a convenience store, truck and RV parking and a smoke shop. In June 2026 a Mint Cannabis dispensary opened in the former casino space, and the plaza is getting a remodeled exterior, an upgraded store and a new restaurant called The Taco Spot.
Who searchesDrivers coming off the freeway searching food, fuel, diesel, restrooms and anything open now, plus reservation residents searching local trades and services
Mormon families settled the valley in 1865 and the museum at 721 S Moapa Valley Blvd opened in 1935 as the Boulder Dam Park Museum, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps to hold artifacts salvaged before Lake Mead flooded the sites. It is now one of Nevada’s state museums and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Perkins Field, the valley’s public airport, sits 2 nautical miles north with a 4,811-foot runway.
Who searchesResidents searching trades, insurance, dentists, accountants and restaurants, plus newcomers searching for anything at all with a Moapa Valley address

The calendar runs this market
Moapa Valley has no snowbird cycle to speak of and no ski season. Its demand curve is set by 3 things: when it is comfortable enough to be outside, when the fairgrounds are full, and when the park closes trails. Budget against that curve and the same spend buys more.
Peak: park, trails and fairgrounds all runningShoulder: heat arriving or leavingSummer low: closures and 110 degree afternoons
Valley of Fire, the trails and the lake are all usable. Warm Springs Natural Area opens Labor Day through Memorial Day and the Moapa Valley National Wildlife Refuge opens Friday to Sunday from September through May.
The Clark County Fair and Rodeo fills Logandale. Rankings cannot be bought in April, so the pages and reviews that win fair week have to be live by the previous autumn.
Fire Wave, Seven Wonders Loop, Pastel Canyon and Pink Canyon close for the summer, and the wildlife refuge shuts June through August. Visitor-driven demand drops with them.
Valley of Fire closes entirely for 2 weeks every December. It is a small window, but it catches lodging and tour businesses that never put the dates on their own site.
Shape of the year, not measured search volume. It reflects published park and refuge closure dates, the Clark County Fair dates and Mojave Desert summer temperatures. 1 client per industry
We take 1 client per industry in Moapa Valley, so the first business in each category to sign keeps the valley. These 6 carry the demand here. Each card shows the searches a plan targets first and the proof a Moapa Valley buyer checks before calling.
The Moapa Valley Chamber of Commerce has been running since 1911 and its member directory lists real estate, insurance, title, dental, chiropractic, trades, utilities and restaurants. It lists no marketing, advertising, SEO or web design business, and we could not find one based anywhere in the valley. The pages ranking for Moapa Valley service terms today were written by agencies in other states that have never driven SR 169.
Maps 3-pack work for every Moapa Valley client, included in every plan. In a valley of 6,277 people the map is the whole game, and the address question here is harder than it looks because of the Logandale PO-box zone.
Keyword research, technical fixes, service pages and links aimed at the Moapa Valley searches that turn into revenue, with rankings tracked separately for Overton, Logandale and Moapa rather than averaged into one number.

All our marketing servicesAI search
Google’s guide to AI features says there are no extra requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. A page has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet, its structured data should match the visible text, and its Business Profile should be current. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity run their own systems and none of them sell placement. In a valley with this few businesses, the one that has written things down plainly is often the only thing an AI tool can cite.
A visitor 10 miles inside the park with no cell bars drives back toward Overton and asks Google, ChatGPT or Perplexity from the parking lot. The tool runs its own searches before it answers, and it answers in seconds, with 1 or 2 names.
Illustration only. AI tools choose and word their answers on their own.
A supporting link has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet. We fix whatever blocks that before anything else.
Each page answers a Moapa Valley question at the top, in HTML text that search engines and AI tools read without running scripts.
Structured data for your business, services and FAQs, checked against the visible copy, exactly as Google’s guide asks.
The same details everywhere, so no tool reads a Logandale PO box and a street address as 2 separate businesses.
Customers who mention Overton, the fairgrounds or the park give AI tools local proof to cite. We write the request that gets those words in.
Google Maps
Google’s help page on local ranking names 3 factors, relevance, distance and prominence, and says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Distance is the one that behaves strangely out here, because the valley is long and thin and there are almost no businesses to fill a 3-pack with.
The factor most under your control, and the one most often left half done. Google matches what someone typed against your categories, your services list and the words on your site.
In Moapa Valley that means naming Overton, Logandale, Moapa and Glendale as words, listing every service you actually perform rather than 3 of them, and saying in plain text how far down SR 169 and Northshore Road you will drive.
Google measures from wherever the searcher is, not from the middle of town. The valley runs about 40 miles and SR 169 alone is 18.6 of them.
A searcher at the Moapa exit and one at the Overton end are far enough apart to see different results, and a searcher inside the park may be placed closer to nothing at all. Service-area pages for each community are how you stay in the set when the pin moves.
How well known the business is, online and off. Reviews, mentions, links and consistent listings all feed it.
The good news in a town of 6,277 is that prominence is cheap here. A steady review habit, a chamber listing, a fair sponsorship and a mention in the local paper shift a ranking in a way that would take years and a far bigger budget on the valley floor.
When Google cannot find 3 qualified local businesses for a query, it widens the radius and fills the pack with Las Vegas or Mesquite listings 30 to 65 miles out. That is how an out-of-town competitor ends up above you in your own town. The fix is not more keywords. It is a profile and a site complete enough that Google stops needing to reach past you.
How it runs
No contracts to escape from and no account manager in between. The timeline below is what a typical Moapa Valley engagement looks like.
30 minutes with Mike. We look at your site, your profile and who is currently ranking for your terms in the valley, and tell you whether the work is worth doing.
Technical audit, Business Profile review, and a keyword map split by community rather than lumped under one city name.
Technical fixes, the profile corrected and verified at a street address, and the first service and community pages written and published.
A review habit that gets place names into the text, local links from chamber and community sources, and a steady run of new pages.

Moapa Valley businesses with a second location, and Las Vegas companies that take work up the I-15 corridor, run 1 Business Profile strategy across both markets. These pages cover the communities we work in most.
The valley floor campaign that most Moapa Valley work connects to, and where our office sits on W Flamingo Rd, about an hour down I-15.
A master-planned community at the south end of the valley with the same pattern as Overton: settled owner-occupiers, high incomes and a short list of local competitors.
A gated, guard-staffed community where the Business Profile and review work matters more than volume, the same build we run for Logandale and Overton.
The fast-growing northwest quadrant, and the closest valley-floor market for Moapa Valley trades that already drive down I-15 for work.
Questions
No, and we will not pretend otherwise with a virtual address in Overton. Our office is at 7885 W Flamingo Rd, Building #7, Las Vegas, NV 89147, about an hour down I-15. Moapa Valley accounts are run remotely with monthly calls, and we drive out when a job needs photographs or a site visit. A fake local address is a Google guidelines violation that can get a profile suspended, and it is the first thing we clean up on accounts we inherit.
Expect movement in the Maps 3-pack within 2 to 3 months and meaningful organic rankings between 6 and 12. A market this thin actually moves faster than Las Vegas on the map side, because there are fewer qualified competitors for Google to choose from. The organic side still takes the normal time, because pages need to be written, indexed and linked before they earn position.
Yes, but not with the PO box. ZIP 89021 is a PO-Box-only delivery zone, so a Logandale business usually has a box for mail and a street address for the building. Google will not verify a Business Profile at a PO box. The profile has to use the physical street address, with a service area drawn around it, and every citation and directory listing has to match that address. Mixing the two is the most common reason a Logandale business sits outside the 3-pack while a Las Vegas competitor sits in it.
It depends on how much is already in place and how competitive your category is, so we quote after the audit rather than off a price list. What is fixed is the structure: no long-term contract, 1 client per industry in the valley, and a top 3 ranking within 12 months on the agreed phrases or you pay nothing. The free 30-minute call ends with a number and a scope, not a proposal three weeks later.
Yes. Plenty of Moapa Valley trades also take work in Mesquite, in north Las Vegas or along the I-15 corridor, and plenty of Las Vegas companies want the valley added. Both run off 1 Business Profile strategy with separate service-area pages, rather than 2 competing profiles. The exclusivity rule applies per market, so holding Moapa Valley in your industry does not stop another client holding Henderson.
We agree the target phrases in writing at the start, based on what the audit shows is realistically winnable and commercially worth winning in your category. If those phrases are not in the top 3 of Google at 12 months, you pay nothing. It does not cover phrases added later, phrases nobody searches, or periods where agreed work was blocked on your side, and all of that is written down before you sign rather than buried afterwards.
No. We hold 1 client per industry in Moapa Valley, and the first business in each category to sign keeps it. If you run the only septic company in Overton that we work with, we will not take the next one that calls. It is the main reason we turn work away here, and it is also why the categories go quickly in a valley with this few businesses.
We can make you the business those tools are most likely to name, which is not the same as guaranteeing it. Google states there are no extra requirements for AI Overviews beyond being indexed, snippet-eligible and accurate, and no AI tool sells placement. What works is answer-first copy, schema that matches the visible page, a current Business Profile and reviews that name real places. In a valley with this few businesses, a page that states its hours, service area and prices plainly is often the only thing an AI tool has to quote.
1 industry, 1 client
There is no marketing firm in this valley and the pages currently ranking for your terms were written by people who have never been here. That is an opening, and it closes the moment somebody in your category takes it.
