Laughlin · Clark County, NV 89029 · 89028
Laughlin is Clark County, but it sits 90 miles south of the Las Vegas valley on the Colorado River, across the bridge from Bullhead City, Arizona. About 8,900 people live here and 160,000 visited in July alone. Las Vegas agencies sell Clark County coverage and never leave the valley. Eclipse Marketing ranks Laughlin businesses in Google Search, the Google Maps 3-pack and AI answers, and founder Michael Vale runs every account himself.

The short answer
Laughlin campaigns run from the same office and team as our Las Vegas SEO agency, but the plan is built on river-town competitors and Arizona-side searchers, not Las Vegas valley ones. The 5 terms below apply to every engagement.

Laughlin is an unincorporated town in Clark County, which means it lands inside the Las Vegas metro on paper and nowhere near it in practice. The drive is 90 miles down US-95 and east on NV-163. Your nearest neighbour is not Henderson or Summerlin, it is Bullhead City, Arizona, straight across the water. Agencies that buy a Clark County keyword list and call it coverage never rank a single Laughlin business, because the competitor set, the buyer and the map radius are all different down here.

Your listingAddress line
Your Google Business Profile, Apple Maps and every directory read Laughlin, NV with the ZIP on your mail, character for character. A business that lists a Las Vegas address to look bigger forfeits the Laughlin map results it would otherwise own, and nobody 90 miles up the highway is driving down for a same-day call anyway.
Laughlin, Casino Drive, Needles Highway, Bruce Woodbury Drive, the Colorado River and 89029 belong in your headings and first paragraphs, so Google and AI tools place the page on this stretch of river instead of folding it into greater Las Vegas.
A large share of the people who call a Laughlin business are dialling from Bullhead City, Fort Mohave or Mohave Valley. Naming those towns in body copy and in your schema service area catches searches no Nevada-only setup will ever see, without touching your Laughlin address.
Know the buyer
Laughlin does not look like the Las Vegas valley on any measure that matters to a campaign. It is older, poorer and far smaller, and it hosts more visitors in a month than it has residents in a decade. Each card compares Laughlin with Nevada as a whole. Full figures are on the Census QuickFacts profile for Laughlin CDP.
Laughlin CDP population, median age, income and poverty: World Population Review 2026 estimates built on U.S. Census Bureau data. Nevada statewide comparators: American Community Survey 2024 estimates via Census Reporter. Median home value is for ZIP code 89029. The figures come from different releases and sample windows, so read the gaps as direction and scale rather than exact differences.
A median age of 57.6 against 39.5 statewide changes how people buy. In ZIP 89029, 58% of households draw Social Security income. That means more calls than form fills, more reading before contact, and more weight on how long you have been on the river. A tap-to-call button and visible hours beat a clever form here every time.
Laughlin hosted 160,000 visitors in July 2026, up 8.1% on the year before. That is roughly 18 visitors for every resident in a single month. Half your searches come from people who arrived yesterday, do not know a street name, and are typing on a phone with one bar.
Laughlin on its own is small. Counted with Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley and Needles, the tri-state area runs near 100,000 people. Your customers dial from two states, and for half the year from a different clock, so coverage that stops at the state line leaves most of the market on the table.
Where searches start
Laughlin is a strip of riverfront, a bridge, a dam and a lot of desert. Nearly every search in town starts at one of 6 places, and each one pulls a different kind of customer, so each one gets its own page plan.
The west bank of the Colorado River
The resort strip and the walkway that threads the properties along the water. Almost every visitor in Laughlin sleeps, eats and starts their phone searches within a few hundred yards of this line, and the resorts between them are the town’s largest employers.
Who searchesVisitors looking for food, tours, repairs and services away from the resort desk; resort staff searching childcare, auto repair, dentists and urgent care near work
Two crossings to Bullhead City, AZ
Don Laughlin paid $3.5 million for the first bridge in 1987 and handed it to Nevada and Arizona. A second crossing, the Silver Copper Crossing, opened on June 7, 2024 at a cost of $60.6 million, carrying one lane each way. Both move the Arizona half of this market back and forth every day.
Who searchesArizona residents searching Laughlin businesses, Nevada businesses searching Arizona customers, and anyone comparing prices, tax and hours across the water
Upstream, north of town
The dam that made modern Laughlin possible and the lake behind it. Davis Dam construction crews were part of why anyone lived here in the 1940s, and the lake is now the reason a large slice of the visitor economy arrives towing something.
Who searchesBoat owners searching launch, storage, repair and detailing; anglers and houseboat renters; RV owners searching hookups, service and parts
2,100 acres on the west bank
Nevada’s state recreation area downstream of town, with about 4 miles of trails plus boating, fishing and camping on the river. It is the main reason a Laughlin trip can be sold to someone who does not gamble, and it brings a visitor who is outdoors all day and searching in the evening.
Who searchesCampers and day-trippers searching gear, supplies, guides and shuttles; families searching food and activities that are not a casino floor
Across the river in Bullhead City, AZ
The regional airport sits on the Arizona side and handles casino charters and private aircraft. It is the reason a Laughlin search can come from someone who landed 20 minutes ago, and the reason the airport’s own name carries two towns and two states.
Who searchesArriving visitors searching transport, car hire and late food; charter groups booking in bulk; businesses serving crews and flight staff
Up the hill, west of Casino Drive
Where the people who live here actually are. Mountain View Park has sports courts, a skate park and a playground, and the Colorado River Heritage Greenway Trail runs 9 miles of path, fishing piers and picnic areas. Resident searches cluster up here, not on the strip.
Who searchesResidents searching home services, HVAC, dentists, vets, insurance and contractors; parents searching schools, sports and childcare
South Pointe to 2026
One man bought a near-empty riverbank in 1964 and built a town on it. Sixty-two years later Laughlin is the only part of Clark County posting visitor growth while Las Vegas flattens. Each milestone below changed who searches here.
A small settlement serves miners, Davis Dam construction workers and anglers on the west bank of the Colorado. It largely empties out again through the 1950s.
A Minnesota native who owned the 101 Club in Las Vegas buys the land after spotting the tourism potential. The town takes his name, though he had pushed for Riverside or Casino.
The Riverside Resort opens with 12 slot machines and 2 live tables. The Bobcat Club follows in 1967 and the Monte Carlo in 1968. The whole economy is one building and a boat ramp.
Hotel and casino building runs the length of the west bank and turns a curiosity into Nevada’s third resort destination after Las Vegas and Reno.
He funds the Laughlin Bridge himself for $3.5 million and donates it to Nevada and Arizona, permanently wiring the Arizona side of the market into the Nevada side.
A megaresort is announced in 1988 and halts in 1990, leaving 2 unfinished towers on the river. Its golf course runs from 1990 until 2005. A reminder that this market punishes overbuilding.
The Mohave Power Station, open since 1971, shuts on December 31. Laughlin loses its largest non-gaming employer and tourism becomes effectively the whole economy.
The riverboat-themed property closes during the pandemic shutdown and never reopens. Nearly 1,200 rooms sit idle on the riverfront, and every directory that still lists it as open is quietly wrong.
The Silver Copper Crossing opened in June 2024 for $60.6 million. Laughlin hosted 160,000 visitors in July 2026, up 8.1% year on year, and has led Clark County for tourism growth while Las Vegas visitation stayed flat.
Laughlin is adding visitors while the Strip is not, and almost no local business here has a page built to catch the searches that come with them. Rising demand and thin competition is the cheapest SEO there is.
Ninety miles each way is far enough that Las Vegas agencies will not service this market properly and Las Vegas competitors will not drive it for a job. Rank here and you keep the river.
Two bridges move customers between Nevada and Arizona all day. A listing and a site built for both sides pick up demand your Nevada-only competitor never sees in their reports.

Laughlin keeps Pacific time and Bullhead City, a bridge away, keeps Arizona time with no daylight saving. For roughly half the year the two sides read the same hour, and for the other half Laughlin is an hour behind. Customers call when your profile says you are shut, or turn up an hour early, and both outcomes end in a bad review. Hours written for both sides of the river, and a line on the page that says which clock you keep, quietly fix a problem your competitors are still arguing with customers about.
What we do
Every plan starts with an audit of your website, your Google Business Profile and the Laughlin and Bullhead City competitors ahead of you. From there we run the 6 services below in the order your audit calls for.
Maps 3-pack work for every Laughlin client, included in every plan, because a visitor who landed an hour ago opens the map before they open a website.
Keyword research, technical fixes, service pages and links aimed at the Laughlin searches that turn into revenue, with rankings tracked from Laughlin and from Bullhead City rather than from Las Vegas.
See our Las Vegas SEO servicesAnswer-first copy, schema that matches your pages and consistent listings: the inputs Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity draw on when they name a local business. In a town this size there are few sources to pick from, so a correct page carries unusual weight.
How AI answers chooseSearch campaigns geo-targeted to Laughlin and across the bridge into Mohave County, rather than inherited from a Las Vegas account that burns budget 90 miles away.
Fast, mobile-first WordPress and Shopify sites built to turn Laughlin visitors into calls, with a tap-to-call number, hours and service area above the fold for a buyer who is older, outdoors and on a weak signal.

All our digital marketing servicesAI search
Google’s guide to AI features says there are no extra requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. A page has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet, its structured data should match the visible text, and its Business Profile should be current. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity run their own systems and none of them sell placement. Laughlin has few local sources for any of them to read, so one properly built page can carry an entire category here in a way it never could in Las Vegas.
1The question
A visitor or resident asks Google, ChatGPT or Perplexity. The tool runs related searches before it answers.
2What the AI checks
3The answer
Illustration only. AI tools choose and word their answers on their own.
A supporting link has to be indexed and eligible for a snippet. We fix whatever blocks that first.
Each page answers a Laughlin question at the top, in HTML text that search engines and AI tools read without running scripts.
Structured data for your business, services and FAQs, checked against the visible copy, as Google’s guide asks.
The same details everywhere, so no tool sees 2 businesses where there is 1, and no old Bullhead City or Las Vegas listing contradicts the current one.
Customers who mention Laughlin, Casino Drive or Lake Mohave give AI tools local proof to cite. We write the request that gets those words into the review.
Google Maps
Google’s help page on local ranking names relevance, distance and prominence, and says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. Distance behaves oddly in Laughlin: the town is long and narrow along the water, so a searcher on Casino Drive and one up in the residential streets can see different results for the same words, and anyone across the bridge is being measured from Arizona.
How well your profile matches the search.
What we do: match categories and services to your pages, and use Laughlin, Casino Drive, the Colorado River and Lake Mohave in posts, services and Q&A.
How far you are from the person searching.
What we do: set a service area that crosses the bridge instead of a pin that only wins its own block, and take organic results with Laughlin pages, where distance counts for less than it does in the map.
How well known your business is, from reviews, links and mentions.
What we do: send review requests to your Laughlin and Bullhead City customers and earn links from local sponsorships, the chamber, river events and regional news.
Our process
This is the route every Laughlin client follows with us, from the first call to the top of the results, and what you should see at each step.
We pull up live results for your services in Laughlin and across the bridge, and check whether your industry is still open in town.
Technical fixes, Business Profile cleanup and a citation audit that settles the 89029 and 89028 split and strips any leftover Las Vegas or Bullhead City address from your listings.
Service and area pages written for Laughlin searches, schema that matches them, and a review system that asks every customer while the job is still fresh.
Local links, sponsorships and regional mentions, plus monthly reporting on calls and booked jobs rather than impressions you cannot spend.
Our guarantee lands here: a Top 3 Google ranking on the competitive phrases we agreed at the start, or the work costs you nothing.

Questions
Most Laughlin engagements run as a monthly retainer, and the figure depends on how competitive your category is and how much repair your site and listings need. A small service business with a clean site costs less than a multi-location operator starting from a suspended profile. We quote after the free audit call, not before, because a number given without looking at your competitors is a guess. There is no setup fee and no long lock-in after the initial term.
Expect early movement in the Maps 3-pack within 2 to 3 months, because profile and citation fixes land fast in a market this size. Organic rankings on competitive phrases take 6 to 12 months. Laughlin is genuinely easier than Las Vegas on this: there are fewer businesses competing for each phrase and fewer of them have a page built properly, so the same work goes further here than it would 90 miles north.
No. Our office is at 7885 W Flamingo Rd, Building #7, Las Vegas, NV 89147, and we serve Laughlin from there. We will not set up a fake Laughlin address to look local, because that breaks Google’s guidelines and gets profiles suspended. Your listing is the one that needs a Laughlin address, and making yours accurate and complete is a large part of the work.
Yes, and for most Laughlin businesses that is where a meaningful share of the demand sits. Two bridges carry customers across all day, and the combined Laughlin, Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley and Needles area is near 100,000 people against Laughlin’s own 8,900. We set your service area, page copy and schema to cover both sides, and track rankings from each. One detail most competitors never handle: Arizona does not observe daylight saving, so for half the year your two markets are on different clocks, and your published hours need to account for it.
The resident population is small, which is exactly why the arithmetic works. Laughlin hosted 160,000 visitors in July 2026 alone, up 8.1% on the year before, and it has been leading Clark County for tourism growth while Las Vegas visitation stayed flat. You are not competing for 8,900 residents, you are competing for everyone who arrives, and you are doing it against a handful of competitors rather than hundreds. Cost per lead here is usually well below what the same business would pay in the Las Vegas valley.
No. We take 1 client per industry in Laughlin and write it into the agreement. In a town this size, running two businesses in the same category would mean competing against our own work. Whoever signs first holds the category, which is also why we tell you on the first call whether your industry is still open here.
We agree a set of competitive phrases with you at the start, in writing, before any work begins. If those phrases are not in the top 3 of Google results within 12 months, you pay nothing. The phrases have to be real commercial terms people search in this market, not something invented to be easy to win, and the guarantee assumes you give us access to the site and the Business Profile and answer the leads we send you.
Last call
One business per industry holds this town. Visitor numbers are rising, almost nobody here has a page built to catch them, and the first operator in each category to fix that keeps the advantage for years. Thirty minutes tells you whether yours is still open.
